Broker Price Opinion (BPO)
Estimation of a property's value as determined by a certified real estate broker.
What is a BPO in Real Estate?
A BPO involves assessing various factors, including the characteristics of the property, recent comparable sales, and the current market conditions. There are two types of BPOs: an internal BPO, which includes a detailed examination of the property's interior, and an external BPO, also known as a drive-by BPO, which assesses the property's value based on its exterior and publicly available information.
While BPOs are useful for getting a quick estimation of property value, they are not as detailed or universally accepted as appraisals and may not be suitable for all lending or legal purposes.
Exterior BPO
Service Area: Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco County ONLY
An Exterior Broker Price Opinion (BPO) is a method used by real estate professionals to estimate the value of a property primarily from its exterior. This type of BPO is sometimes referred to as a "drive-by BPO" because it does not involve a detailed inspection of the property's interior. Instead, the real estate agent or broker assesses the property's condition, location, and compares it with similar properties in the area based on visible features and external data.
